Why is my RV slide-out roof leaking?
Slide-out roofs collect debris and pool water, and most owners can’t see them without a ladder. Three causes are common. A wiper or bulb seal, the rubber strip along the opening, no longer meets the room. A corner seal cracks where three surfaces meet. Or water pools on the slide roof and runs in when the room moves.
Why does my slide-out leak only when it is extended?
This pattern almost always points at the seals and the slide roof rather than the main roof. With the room out, the slide roof becomes a shallow tray. Debris blocks the drain path, water pools against the wall, and any tired seal along the top edge lets it through. Closed, the same seals are compressed and the tray drains, so the leak vanishes until the next campsite. A sagging or torn topper makes it worse by dumping water exactly where the seal is weakest.

Water from a slide-out leak usually shows at the slide’s ceiling corners or the floor beneath. If it’s reached inside, we plan the interior repair and the seal repair together.
